VII Encuentro Internacional sobre el MMC – Uppsala, Suecia 2008
El VII Encuentro Internacional sobre el Método Madre Canguro tuvo lugar en octubre de 2008 año en Uppsala, Suecia. Participaron “cangurólogos” de 37 países, así como representantes de la Organización Mundial de la Salud, Save the Children, SNL, entre otros. Este Encuentro Internacional fue precedido por la Primera Conferencia Europea acerca del MMC, donde participaron más de 30 miembros de Unidades Neonatales de 15 países europeos.

En la ciudad de Santa Fe de Bogotá, durante el II Encuentro Internacional sobre el Método Madre Canguro, realizado del 30 de noviembre al 4 de diciembre de 1998, se reunieron participantes de 30 países del mundo.
I Encuentro Internacional sobre el MMC – Trieste, Italia 1996
Se llevó a cabo el primer Encuentro Internacional sobre el Método Madre Canguro (MMC), para brindar atención a los niños prematuros y de bajo peso al nacer para la edad gestacional. Esta reunión se llevó a cabo en Trieste, Italia, del 24 al 26 de octubre de 1996. Se reunieron 36 participantes de 15 países de África, Asia, Europa, Norteamérica y Sudamérica.

IV Encuentro Nacional sobre el MMC – 2020
El Ministerio de Salud y Protección Social, La Asociación Colombiana de Neonatología y Fundación Canguro organizaron y llevaron a cabo el IV Encuentro Madre Canguro ” El camino hacia la calidad de los Programas Madre Canguro”, realizado en Bogotá los días 23 y 24 de enero de 2020.
