Kangaroo Foundation Colombia now offers certification services, in Colombia and abroad, for Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) programs caring for premature and/or low birth weight infants. Programs must comply with the latest technical guidelines of Kangaroo Mother Programs in Colombia (reference standards); developed under the framework of the 2009 Cooperation Agreement No. 638, and in cooperation of the Colombia Ministry of Health and Social Protection, Acción Social, Unicef, and the United Nations World Food Program (WFP).
The Kangaroo Foundation has 20 years of experience in the evaluation of KMC programs in Colombia and abroad, including the program itself and the professionals who work there. The service can be provided in Spanish, English or French.
